They are one of the first technologies to bring personalisation into print, allowing e-commerce brands to turn their in-package inserts into a new, dynamic and tailored marketing channel that delights them the moment they open their order. Today, they work with a wide range of popular e-commerce brands including SURI, Bird & Blend Tea Co, PAUL VALENTINE, Yepoda and Dr. Sam’s Skincare – even recently winning an award alongside Bird & Blend Tea Co. at the Direct Commerce Awards. To date, they have secured £ 4.5 million in investment from their VC and Corporate investors.

You will be joining the business at an exciting time as they ramp up for scale and will be crucial in helping them work with even more iconic and ambitious brands across the e-commerce space.

Day-to-day activities will include…

This role is an opportunity to join an early Marketing team and includes plenty of room for growth. As the second Marketing hire, you’ll have a crucial part to play, helping them experiment with and pinpoint the best marketing tactics to acquire new customers. You will lead on initiatives that are already part of their marketing mix (such as events) but will also have the opportunity to select and lead on new, growth channels they haven’t explored yet.

As an important role in a small team, you will be comfortable with hands-on, day-to-day execution but also be inspired by helping to shape the strategic and commercial vision. You’ll have the opportunity to try a bit of everything, have a direct impact on business success and be empowered to spread your wings in a fast-paced, startup environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Pipeline growth: Driving and experimenting with new marketing initiatives that appeal to the ideal customers to drive pipeline growth and meet commercial goals 

  • Experimentation: You’ll work with the Senior Marketing Manager to identify new, unexplored channels and lead on quick-to-implement experiments

  • Decision-making: You’ll track and report on the success of your initiatives to the Senior Marketing Manager to make joint, informed decisions on where to invest time and resources

  • Event management: Organisation and execution of a wide range of events – from intimate workshops to expos – and the ability to proactively drive leads through follow-up

  • Content development: Create content for the blog, socials, co-marketing activities, events, website, webinars, emails and more

  • Sales enablement: Collaborate with the Sales Team to co-ordinate targeted follow-up and nurturing of inbound leads

  • Brand awareness: Increasing brand love in the e-commerce SaaS market – both with partners, prospects and customers

  • Messaging: Communicate our solution and proposition to the market through content and events

  • Individual contributor: You will have the opportunity to ideate, plan, execute and report on the success of your creative ideas and will be an individual contributor to the wider business

  • Tool adoption: Confidence using our Martech tools – including Hubspot, WordPress, Notion, Zendesk and Crossbeam – to track progress and performance

The ideal candidate…

  • Preferably 3+ years of marketing experience in a fast-paced B2B start-up (in e-commerce SaaS is a big bonus)

  • Growth marketing. Proven track record of leading growth marketing initiatives that contribute to lead generation (at a minimum you would have run LinkedIn and Google ad campaigns)

  • Analytical confidence. You will be skilled in reporting on key marketing metrics and an understanding of a SaaS product’s marketing and sales funnel

  • Bravery. You should be a curious individual with a “test-and-learn” mindset. You should have the ambition to always improve on what’s been previously achieved and not be scared to abandon something if it isn’t working

  • Stakeholder management. Ability to collaborate with multiple individuals, both inside and outside the business, to execute your responsibilities

  • Thoughtful, disciplined and organised. You take pride in your work, have strong attention to detail and can organise yourself to deliver through to completion

  • Skilled communicator. You’re a creative thinker with exceptional written and verbal communication skills. You should also have a firm grasp of brand and tone of voice

  • Self-motivated. You’ll enjoy being autonomous but also see feedback as a gift, you’ll enjoy being coached by other members of the team and be willing to seek feedback and support when needed
