Having built a trusted brand known for high quality and integrity, they are now ready to shake up the market with their new ketchup and mayos. They are looking for someone to lead the charge in growing their distribution in OOH – making them ‘the go-to sustainable ketchup brand’ for restaurants, pubs and bars across the country!

Day-to-day activities will include…

The Sales Manager will be responsible for the development & delivery of the companies ambitious growth plans, with sole responsibility for some of our most valuable customers.

They will be leading the out of home (OOH) sales team. This is a broad role spanning accelerating growth in existing accounts and winning new business across multiple Channels. Your key priorities will be...

Winning new business

  • Setting and hitting your targets

  • Defining a clear new business process

  • Identifying larger chain customers that fit with company’s strategic goals and establish partnerships with them

Account management

  • Manage and develop our existing relationships with key end customers and wholesalers. You’ll have full P&L responsibility for a high percentage of Rubies business, to which different tactics and tactics may apply

Leading the OOH sales team

  • Manage and motivate the OOH sales team, enabling them to hit their targets and win new accounts.

  • Two direct reports with the possibility of growing the team if successful

Forecasting

  • Generating and owning the commercial forecast for your customers. Working with commercial, marketing and operations teams to ensure demand aligns with supply.

  • Accuracy is particularly important here, given the sizeable growth plan.

Customer insight

  • This is an externally focused role, where you’ll need to develop a deep knowledge of your customers and their markets. This will guide you customer plans which you’ll present back to the business to guide our strategy.

  • You will be the go-to expert to your customers and will not rely on other functions to support your objectives

Commercial strategy

  • Help develop and implement our commercial plans, ensuring your customers have the right products, promotions and marketing in place to maximise profitable growth.

  • Strategies of significant customers will need to be conscientiously aligned with the overall wider business Strategy.

Analysis

  • Dig into the data to guide and support decision making. You’ll work with various data sources to measure performance and generate insight to share back with the business.
