Information on the company
Our clients are building a platform that tackles one of the biggest challenges in society: helping care providers find, onboard, and support the workers who keep the health and social care ecosystem running. The organisation uses smart technology and automation to make recruitment, compliance, and workforce management more ethical, efficient, and transparent, supporting people from a wide range of backgrounds and digital confidence levels. The goal is simple: create fairer opportunities for care workers and help providers deliver better care.
We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to shape the next generation of this platform as we move deeper into self-serve, expand our product footprint, and refine the experience into something truly intuitive and delightful.
ABOUT THE ROLE…
The core platform is established, functional, and actively used by care workers and providers across the UK. Now they’re entering a high-growth phase where design will play a critical role in increasing product stickiness, supporting commercial expansion, and improving the experience for highly diverse user groups.
This is a particularly exciting moment because:
The product footprint is growing quickly, with multiple new modules and customer types being onboarded.
The team is shifting from building core functionality to perfecting the experience by making it intuitive, guided, and genuinely self-serve.
User journeys involve complex branching workflows, compliance pathways, and multi-step decisioning, offering huge scope for design-led simplification.
The organisation’s mission — improving conditions, fairness, and opportunity for care workers — drives meaningful impact and tech-for-good outcomes.
WHAT YOU’LL OWN
Transforming a functional product into a guided, self-serve experience that supports users with different levels of digital literacy, cultural backgrounds, and accessibility needs
Designing end-to-end workflows across web, iOS, and Android for people navigating compliance reviews, onboarding routes, data-collection tasks, and operational processes.
Breaking down complex, dynamic workflows (including multi-branch journeys) into something clear and confidence-building.
Defining and implementing a new design system, including components, principles, and guidelines that scale across multiple surfaces.
Owning the design and delivery of three new product modules from discovery to iteration, with opportunities to support upsell, activation, and deeper customer adoption.
Conducting user interviews, testing, and observational research to understand behaviour, pain points, and opportunities across diverse audiences.
Working closely with engineering and product leadership to shape requirements, contribute to PIDs, and ensure design choices directly support commercial value, customer retention, and in-platform engagement.
Using data, insights, and direct customer conversations to inform and validate design decisions.
The ideal candidate…
4–5+ years designing product-led experiences, ideally within B2B, operational, regulated, or workflow-heavy environments.
Strong UX and interaction design skills, with a portfolio showing how you’ve simplified complex systems.
Clear commercial awareness understanding how design influences adoption, retention, stickiness, and the wider product strategy.
Ability to define design systems and scalable patterns from the ground up.
Comfort working autonomously and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
Strong communication, clarity of thinking, and a calm approach to ambiguity.
NICE TO HAVE:
Experience designing for audiences with varied cultural backgrounds, literacy levels, or accessibility needs.
Exposure to compliance-based, government-linked, or operational technology.
Experience on zero-to-one products as well as products moving into scale.
The company cares more about how you think, collaborate, and learn than where you’ve worked. If you feel you can shape a product used by thousands of people in sensitive, mission-driven contexts, we’d love to hear from you even if you don’t tick every single box.
